Roping up with the Access Fund

Mountains and climbing crags have been considered playgrounds and spaces for contemplation by many. There, Janette and her friends have been seeking peace and inspiring challenges, but we are also contemplating how to protect this realm. Supporting the Access Fund was an obvious choice for the JHMF’s very first donation.

The Access Fund is a national advocacy organization that keeps the U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment.

At the end of the year 2020, JHMF participated in the Access Fund year-end gift matching campaign with a donation of $2000. Black Diamond, an American manufacturer of climbing, skiing, and mountain sports equipment, matched every single donation to help the Access Fund build more sustainable climbing areas and work with land managers to prevent closures.
